In Memorium

maisy in the snow.JPG

This evening, around 6:15pm, our wonderful young male cat, Maisy, was hit on the road by a speeding car. We are thankful that he most likely went very quickly. He will be very missed, by us, by the other cats, and especially by his best buddy Zelly (who knows it's a sad time, but we don't think fully understands what's happened). We will be burying him in a hide-away place in our backyard and will probably plant something special as his marker in the spring.

Maisy, you were an amazing cat... friendly, playful and cuddly, and had the softest fur I've ever felt. Love, wndl, buggy and zelly.

Maisy, you were always at least semi-friendly to me when I visited, which is more than most cats can claim. Peace and slow mice forever.

Wendy, Camey, and Zelly,

You all know that I loved Maisey too. He had a very special place in my heart. I can still visualize him trotting down the wooden walkway to the patio to join in the family visit. I have never seen a cat so willing to lay on his back and be scritched. His little purring motor was so sweet. And it is difficult to imagine the kitty family without him. I have never seen a group of cats love each other so much.

I woke up at 5:00 this morning thinking about him and couldn't go back to sleep. I would like to contribute to his memorial in the back yard. I will miss him greatly.
