What if you color your hair and no one notices? Is it still colored?
I added some red and blonde highlights to my hair last week and so far the only people who have commented are my partner and two close friends. None of my co-workers have said a word -- and these are people who notice when you cut your hair or drop a few pounds. Since I added the highlights to reclaim my normal summer color (which inexplicably didn't show up this year), perhaps it just looks so natural that it isn't calling attention to itself.
Or, it's so bad no one has the heart to say anything.
Posted by buggy at August 6, 2003 10:50 AMSo I had this friend-of-the-male-persuasion once who decided he was tired of his beard. So one morning he shaved the right half of it off, leaving the left half untouched. Just, you know, to see. What people would say. Or something.
I completely failed to notice, though I had numerous routine interactions with him during the day.
