Tag I'm it, my 5 things list

Julie Lerman tagged me in early January and I'm just getting around to this:

Five things you may not know about me

1. In 1989, I partied with Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart in a room at the Governor House hotel in downtown Olympia.

2. I played soccer in Sydney in 2002 as a participant in the Gay Games and I've got a medal to prove it.

3. I have an ATA in Electronics (Associate of Technical Arts) and can still solder wires to contacts as needed.

4. My first programming experience was on a Heathkit breadboard circuit using a Motorola cpu chip from the 68000 family. We did basic math using registers and displaying our results on a LED display. Needless to say, I was hooked frmo that moment on.

5. if I won the lottery, after paying off debt for myself and family, and upgrading our house, I'd go back to school and study anthropology, forensics and foreign languages.

Bonus number 6. The last book I read was Anderson Cooper's "Dispatches from the Edge" and I enjoyed it a lot. I've been a fan of Cooper's since watching him on ABC's World News Now, which airs in the early, early, early wee hours when insomniacs and moms with hungry infants are awake (I was one of the latter).

I'm sure everyone's done this or decided not to, but just in case, a ping out to
Geekpdx
Chris Bilson
Ryan Thiessen
Iain Robertson
... and now I've run out of people to ping

it's amazing what people's past lives unveil! :-)

Isn't it? I already knew about your Playboy connection, I think that was revealed during a Dotnetrocks episode. I didn't realize we shared a common start in programming through Heathkit, although mine could hardly be considered a computer, I did get a good grade on it.
