Life has been crazy this summer, we've barely had time to just sit around and enjoy it. Work has kept me very busy for the last couple of months. I joined a team that was getting ready for deployments, and I was working on the next deliverables. I managed to get one chunk ready for deployment today, and now I'm getting ready to go on vacation. My family awaits me in Florida. When I get back, I'll be finishing the next chunk of code that will be deployed, at the end of that week. I've been so focused and driven to get the work done and prep for vacation that I haven't had much time to really anticipate the time off. (and, yes, I *can* hear Julie laughing from Vermont, "That's what you get for saying you were bored")
And now it's 45 minutes until I get in the car and drive to the airport and I still feel like something else needs to be done, but it's a phantom feeling. I'm ready, I'm packed and checked and double-checked. I briefed my team on the status of my projects and they're ready to do the next steps while I'm gone. Really, everything is ok, so why do I have the jitters?
