Well, by now all of you know that the baby has arrived. I thought
I'd drop you a line to let you know how we're all doing.
I'm feeling great and back to work part time. I'll go to work in
the mornings and work from home in the afternoon until Hazel comes
home.
Hazel is beginning to put on weight -- Yahoo! She's doing great
with the feeding protocol and if she continues at this pace she'll
be coming to St. Pete's in Olympia next week. Wendy and I spent
time with her last night and she was in fine form. She burped,
sneezed and had hickups -- all very normal, mundane things but very
exciting for us. She also was exercising her nursing muscles by
sucking on our finger tips -- she's very good at it and kept at it
until Wendy rocked her to sleep. So far the person she most
resembles is Dad -- high forhead, receeding hairline, same bushy
eyebrows, same wrinkles on her forehead. She is beginning to smooth
out and fill in some of her skin, I am eagerly looking forward to
the time when she has an actual butt and not just a couple of
wrinkles over her hip bones.
Hope this message finds you all in good health. Thank you for all
your prayers, positive thoughts and love -- they all contributed to
a good outcome for my little family.
